Title: CD Case
Post by: Darren on March 30, 2014, 01:57:34 PM
Here's a render of a CD case I made using TC Mac Pro V7.
The artwork is applied to the case using decals. The lighting is two point lights and the material on the base is Metal, Aluminum, Dimple.

I'm working on a walkthrough animation of a cabin and I want to hang a picture on a wall. An image doesn't survive rendering so I was thinking I could apply it in Adobe Premiere as part of the final cut. It just never occurred to me to apply it as a decal - thanks! I think that will work.

I will try to hang a 3D picture frame and put the picture as a decal inside it. Another task is to place a picture of some logs burning in the fireplace. Even better, video of logs burning, Premiere supports PIP and motion tracking so I might be able to pull that one off too.

Enjoy

Thanks Mitch,
The cabin walkthrough sounds cool. Let me know if you need any help with the decals.

I'll have to do a movie for using "User Images" as decals.
