Title: Where is the connection tool?
Post by: jawick on March 26, 2018, 06:17:27 PM
The User Guide says that there is a connection tool under Modify/Advanced Transform. I don't see it there. Am I missing something? Where is it? I am on Mac Pro V10.0.02.  I want to connect to objects or lines at a specific point and I am thinking it might be the best way to prevent gaps when I then extrude it.
Thanks

The Connection tool is part of the Assembly tools subset and is for moving 3D objects.

What you are looking for is the trim flyout toolbar, there you will find the Connect Curve, Extend, and Corner Trim tools. There is also a Join Curve tool but it can change your geometry and cause some odd looking extrudes, and no, it's not a bug, the program must guess how the curves are to be connected and sometimes it guesses wrong.

If you have any questions on using these tools, just ask.

Enjoy
