1.) Dimensioning sometimes adds a fraction to the end of a dimension.
I can right click, edit object, backspace out the # sign, and type in " 12' ", and it will display 12'1/4 in the dimension. Anything I type in, adds a fraction to the end. " Damnit 1/4 " sometimes natural dimensioning, on a line verified by Verify- Length, as 3' exactly (as drawn), and auto dimensioning will show it as " 3'1/4 ". (without quotes) Aggravating
Generally it works fine, but when it starts addin' the fraction stuff, it don't wanna' quit, and won't let me fix it….. I just quit using dimensions, and start a new file…..
Dimensioning sometimes has extra marks that are stray from the dimension that appear, and look sloppy. Usually to the lower right, like small straight vertical lines that are not aligned with the text or dimension.
ADDITIONAL: Trying to put a ball or dot on the ends of a line. I did find it by trial and error, and when I click it, the ball/dot flashes on the end of the line, and disappears very quickly, will not stay visible, and I can't find it if it's there. Arrows will stay, Xs will stay, slant lines will stay, ball/dot will "not" stay…. Check mark is still in the spot where the ball/dot apparently resides on the submenu...
2.) Click Pen, Arrowheads, and submenu pops out, and displays one check mark, and the rest of the box is empty, no text, nothing shows in the tall rectangle of the submenu except a single check mark. Running the mouse down the box highlights all the spots text is supposed to show up, and I can select an invisible object, but can't see the text or symbol that's supposed to be in there.
Pen, and Fill Patter is very similar disappearing act. I see "None", and at the bottom, "More". But nothing else.
All the other menu sub items seem to still be in place. Style, Color, Weight, Patter, and Fill Color all seem to be fine.
3.) Noticed that when I right click (double tap w/ MAC), the menus that come up are mixed up.... the layer line pops out a submenu for the line type options, not layer options, etc. etc. The submenus that pop out are not the correct submenus for the line item highlighted.
4.) Line snap feature sometimes doesn't snap to the point, and won't snap to the point. Can draw several lines, and use the snap feature, and they will all be offset, or disconnected by the same amount... Have to draw the line, or circle or whatever, and then use the move feature to move it to the correct position later. This goes away with a full reboot of the MAC. But, starts up again after some time.... Did I mention this was aggravating?
Really some freaky stuff goin' on with this.... Not what I'd expect to be paying my money for...
Hacked me off that the revision cloud didn't come with the deluxe program.... It did on the version I had for a PC several years ago.
This MAC version does't have several of the functions that my PC version had several years ago....
While I'm griping.... Called Tech Support quite a few times and never, ever, ever got an answer.... Always an answering machine after a waiting period..... Worthless.....
Emails to
support@imsidesign.com went unanswered after resubmitting several times... Again, ... Worthless....
I've bragged about the TurboCad program being very good on many occasions with previous versions on PC, but have to eat crow with this MAC version I've got now... I have to figure out what I can do with what "will work" rather than what "should" work.
Tried reboot
Reinstalled program several times... Clean reinstall twice, didn't work....
Nothing comes back.
