operating systems and TC performance?

I wanted to know how upgrading to a newer operating system would affect the performance of TC Mac Pro v10 build 1312.  I am running TC on OS X Yosemite 10.10.5.  Would performance of TC improve on El Capitan or Sierra, or would it be about the same or would there not be a noticeable difference? I do mostly 2D and some simple 3D objects.  Was wondering if someone could elaborate on the statement on the TC website that "Compatibility not guaranteed for later operating systems".

Thanks,
Sam

Hi Sam,

Since you are doing 2D and some simple 3D objects I would doubt you would see any speed boost. I cannot speak for IMSI but in my experience the current versions have kept up with OS changes, notice that V10 Build 1340 has just been posted in Patches & Updates. The first release of V10 had some issues with Sierra that were fixed. Prior versions like V9, V8, etc... have had their development come to an end and the future for any program can't be guaranteed.

Enjoy
