It would be nice to have the ability to have multiple windows open of a drawing file so you could display say "top" in one, "left side" in another and "font" in another and "isometric" or "trimetric" in another. and being able to work in them.

The only way i could see of having this was to open multiple instances of the drawing file and working in one. The changes do not happen in the others views at the same time as they are in affect different files. i could not see how to do this or have i missing something?

hope i have explained this in a way thats understandable.

It would still be a good idea to have the ability to have multiple windows open within one instance of a drawing file ( not multiple openings of the same file ) if you want to place a long block or anther object in a complex drawing you could start its placement in one window and finish it in another being in close in both windows making your accurate placement much easier within a complex drawing. this method is used in other drawing programmes would this be possible?

I hope i have explained myself better this time.

After having used TurboCAD Mac v5 for some time now i having upgraded to pro v5 from Deluxe. I used to using the grid in other CAD packages but now love the drawing assistant i am mostly happy with all of it. there are a few bugs some of them converting drawing files but so do most expensive commercial programs DXF files being notorious with layers and style settings.
