I cannot import a jpg file - file > import > jpg > browse to file > open, and all I get is a large solid block, also tried to drag the file directly onto the drawing space - Nothing!!

Which version and build of TC do you have? Could you post the jpg file for testing?

Enjoy

I too am having this same issue. Images import as solid black or blue. I've tried playing around with shading options and different import formats without any success (pff, tiff, jpg). I can't say when this problem arose since I don't import images very often. I'm running TC v11 Pro build 1419 on Mac v10.15.2.

We seem to have had that problem since V7. I don't remember if I had mentioned it to the testing, as I was also searching for causes of the Safari Black screens, and the only thing I could find is the Quartz engine lights up and renders (black pics) useless.
I have simply reworked them to PNG, and run with that.

Tried converting my image to PNG using Preview and attempted importing to TCMP. Same issue on import, image is solid color. I haven't found image reformatting to help.

I seem to remember having this issue many years ago on TCMP version 4 or 5. I thought the fix was to change something in shade options, but none of that has worked so far.

I have heard about TC having some issues with the Catalina O.S., I don't know what all the problems are but this may be one of them. Contact [email protected] for the current V11 build and upgrade.

The best outside fix that I could see was what was done. I gave up trying to get Apple support to fix- the problem has been around 2 years now.

I have the same problem with Shark Pro v11 and Catalina works with a iMac 2012 but not with a 2019 iMac
