Importing TurboCAD Window files into TurboCAD Mac

To open a TurboCAD Windows file in TurboCAD Mac the TurboCAD Windows file will need to be converted to a .DXF or .DWG file format. Once this has been completed the newly created .DXF or .DWG file can be imported into TurboCAD Mac. To import the .DXF or .DWG file into TurboCAD Mac, select file in the main menu then select import in the drop down menu. Once this is done select the .DXF or .DWG file type to be imported then select the OK button. After this has been completed select the .DXF or .DWG file then select the open button.

It is pretty bad that two programs from the same company, with the same name cannot share files.  I have used the technic described above with limited success.  IMSI advertises TurboCAD for Mac as being compatible with many other CAD programs, but it is not compatible with the Windows version.  What gives?

Other than the primary operating systems, there is a compatibility with the conversions. remember, the Mac system needs to "realign" a Windows based file for opening properly.

I completely agree, Flyboy. Before IMSI promotes new versions of Turbocad (Mac or Win) with new features, perhaps, they should focus their efforts to make possible to load versions of (at least) the latest versions of their own software, regardless of the operative system ...
IMO, really bad.
